It's 215am and all the students have now been collected from the car park at school and the coach has left. Bonne nuit!
It's 11.40pm and we've just left Michael Wood Services on the northbound M5 after a 30min stopover. Lights have been dimmed and music turned off as some students try to get some sleep The driver thinks that from here if traffic is ok we should easily be at school around 2.15am in the morning.
Our driver has just informed us that our Estimated Time of Arrival back at school should be between 2.15am and 2.30am on Saturday morning.
It's 845pm and we're through passport control and all aboard our coach. We've just set off from Plymouth on our way to Belper. It's about a 5-6 hour journey. We'll be asking students to call home when we're about an hour from Belper.
It's 745pm and the ferry is just docking at Plymouth. We hope to be disembarking soon and that our coach is waiting for us to take us back to Belper.
It's 15h00 or 2pm UK time as the nice lady on the ferry has just informed us! We're all aboard the same ferry we travelled out on last week but we don't have cabins on the return journey. The ferry has just left Roscoff on time. We are due to arrive in Plymouth at 8pm this evening.
It's 13h00 and we're having lunch by a beach at Carantec which is about 15mins drive from Roscoff. Lots of us are sampling the moules frites. We will be leaving for the ferry at 13h45. The ferry leaves at 15h00 in Roscoff.
It's 10h45 and we're at Algoplus, a seaweed factory in Roscoff. The Brittany coastline has the largest concentration of seaweed in Europe. We are learning all about how seaweed is processed into food, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. We're also sampling some of the seaweed.
It's 9h15 and after a sequence of emotional farewells we've now left the school and our French exchange partners behind. We're heading towards Roscoff.
It's 8h45 and we're starting to gather in the school playground. The tears have begun as students start to realize it's almost time for au revoir. We are due to leave at 9h00.
It's 16h45 and everyone has gone home with their exchange partners for the last time. Students will be enjoying their last evening with their families before making sure they pack their cases well. We will be leaving from school at 9h00 tomorrow for our long journey home.
It's 16h05 and we're leaving back for school. Everyone has had a great day despite not being able to do sand-yachting.
It's 12h00 and we're on the beach at Plounéour-Trez. It's a hot and sunny day but unfortunately Jan has had some wind problems! Without any wind the sand-yachting has been cancelled and we've been split into 2 groups and will take part in a variety of beach games, mountain biking and using a climbing wall instead. The instructors from the outdoor adventure centre which organises the sand-yachting are with us. We're staying here until about 15h45.
It's 10h45 and we're still at the honeyfarm. We've seen baby bees being born straight out of the eggs and we've discovered lots about how a bee colony operates. We're currently enjoying free samples of the many different types of honey produced here. Parents back home can surely expect at least one jar of honey as a gift!
It's 8h40 and we're on the coach travelling to Plouescat to visit la millerie - the honeyfarm (not a funnyfarm as one of the French people said!) Apparently the bees aren't dangerous... we'll see!
Bonjour! It's 08h00 and another hot and sunny day in Finistère. Today we'll be visiting a honey farm in the morning and in the afternoon (if there's any wind) we will be sand-yachting. The air is very still at the moment.
It's 17h00 and all the students have now gone home for the evening with their host families. School ends at 12h30 on Wednesdays for most of the French students here so some people had to wait later after school to arrange to meet with their exchange partners who had to come back to school to collect them!
It's 15h45 and we're all shopped out and back on the coach again to school in Lesneven. It's about a 30 minute journey so we should be back before the school buses leave at 16h30.
It's 13h50 and we're now leaving Océanopolis. We're off to the Géant shopping centre in Brest. We'll be there till about 15h30. Hopefully it will be enough time to satisfy all the shopping addicts amongst the group!
It's 11h15. Students have been split up into 3 groups and have been enjoying looking around 2 of the zones in the sealife centre. After lunch we'll all look at the third zone. The three zones are tropical, temperate and polar.
Salut! It's 8h40 and it's another hot sunny day here in Lesneven. We're just leaving on a coach (with windows that actually open!) on our way to the Océanopolis (sea life centre) in Brest.
It's 17h00 and everyone is now back home with their families. Maybe they might do something interesting on this fine summer evening? All the teachers involved with the exchange (and the German exchange which is also taking place this week) have been invited to the Headteacher's house for un apéro this evening.
It's 15h15 and we've just left Locronan on a very hot bus - the aircon isn't working! We should be back at school in Lesneven by 16h30.
It's 13h30 and we're now in Locronan. Our coach driver drove into the town and parked up before driving out around the ringroad and back again to the same parking spot. We thought he was showing students the true meaning of déjà vu! Student have enjoyed their picnics for lunch and are now exploring the old town. We will leave here for the journey back to school at 15h00.
It's 12h30 and we're just leaving Quimper on our way to Locronan. We'll be stopping shortly for a picnic. The weather is still very warm although it's a little cloudy but after the hot sunshine yesterday it's a welcome relief for some.
